I have found myself in lukewarm Christianity and in legalistic Christianity. Both have led to breakthroughs in my walk with God, but they have also led to considerable amounts of pain. The truth is, I learned how to have a relationship with Christ when I was lukewarm, and I learned reverence for Christ when I was legalistic. The issue is that these two were never meant to be separated, yet the two extremes on the spectrum of faith have done exactly that.

This book explores what I have come to call THE SWEET SPOT, which recognizes the beauty found in both extremes and holds on to what is valuable in each to create a balanced pursuit of Christ that honors Him while stewarding an intimate relationship with Him. I find that many Christians are on the journey of building an authentic relationship with God but feel lost somewhere along the way. As you read this book, it won't just discuss what the sweet spot is; it will also help YOU pinpoint where you are in your own journey and navigate toward the sweet spot that we all desire as we pursue the heart of God.

It is good to grasp the one and not let go of the other. Whoever fears God will avoid all extremes.
